OFFICIAL DRAW OF THE MILLION RAND COMPETITION:

What are your chances of winning a million rand? One in a million? If you take part in this competition, organised by the South African Veterinary Foundation to raise funds for urgent conservation projects, your chances are one in just two thousand!

For every 2,000 correct entries we receive, R1,000,000 cash will be won (or a pro rata cash prize if there are fewer entries). There are also two consolation prizes of R50,000! In addition, you stand to win the Early Bird Prize of R100,000 if you are one of the first 500 entries. That's a probability of one in just five hundred! We'll help you select and buy the farm of your dreams; or you can just keep the cash.

All funds raised by this competition will be used for urgent research on tuberculosis in lions in South Africa's Kruger National Park and for the Foundation's Emergency Fund. The first project of the Fund is to feed 300 hippo facing starvation in the Limpopo River and to capture and translocate them to a new haven.

The competition is supervised by auditors PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc; funds are received in the Trust account of attorneys Rooth & Wessels. Entry fee: R1,500. Prize draw: 26 November, Silverlakes, Pretoria, at 15h00.
